Deep Australian brown mallee burl bowl

Unusually deep slice of an Australian brown mallee burl, harvested from a live tree and turned into a 7-inch-diameter bowl. Probably not a great choice for a cereal bowl, but as a conversation starter, it can't be beat. The burl has striking brown, red and light grain patterns running in all directions.
